Work Vessels for Veterans was born in 2008 after John Niekrash, a Noank, CT lobsterman heard the story of a wounded warrior’s unwavering dedication and service after having been severely injured in Iraq. Hearing a call to action, John decided that the boat that had served him well for seventeen years should go to someone who had served his country.

Krasher I was refurbished and donated to USMC Reservist Richard Giguere who served two tours in Iraq and later in Afghanistan. Richard is now working the boat in Narragansett Bay, RI as a commercial fisherman.

Audiences looking for a rocking good time can always count on David Foster & The Shaboo All-Stars. A long-established force in the Connecticut music scene, Foster has assembled a team of top-notch musicians who provide a solid night of entertainment.

Joining them are legendary Hartford Rock N’ Roll band Duke & the Esoterics. These two great bands come together for a night of musical fun to raise money and awareness for Work Vessels for Vets, a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting returning vets to start a business or return to an education pursuit. Tickets are tax deductible.
